That's definitely the other edge of the sword of using a proprietary alloy: It's probably not going to be produced in enough quantity to get the economy of scale to bring the price down. The MAP prices still aren't that bad.VooDooChild wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 5:53 pmIm curious what the other spy27 prices are going to be? The current 2 lightweights are about the same as the g10 s30v alternatives of the same knives.
Native 5 lw with SPY27?

Looking forward to this steel, specifically in the Native lightweight platform. Hopefully someday I'll get a Military in SPY27 for my back pocket to match.
Re: Native 5 lw with SPY27?
Any news on when this model will be released?

You´re basically saying that due to SPY27 being limited to Golden knives, not many of my favorite models will come in that steel?
Well, you´re right. :o
It´s Seki models that ususally combine most of the features I prefer.
Still, I´d really like to try a Shaman or Native Chief, and it´s not exactly as if I´d DISlike PM2 orf Millie.. so, still enough to choose from should these models be made in SPY27... :)
I wonder if SPY27 is actually limited to Golden, or just for this current reveal it is only Golden?? I would think that we will see SPY27 Seki knives eventually. Maybe ZDP-189 will be retired and the Seki production knives with be VG-10, K390, and SPY27. Or maybe they will just do SPY27 as a large sprint series in the Endura family. I definitely think we will see some in Seki though for sure. The Seki knives are my favorites as well, so I would buy an Endura/Delica/Endela/Dragonfly/Police LW.

Re: Native 5 lw with SPY27?
SPY-27 is their signature steel, and the Seki knives are some of their most iconic knives. I would think that the two will converge at some point in the future. When? I have no idea, but I don't think it will be soon.steelcity16 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2020 8:55 amI would think that we will see SPY27 Seki knives eventually.

I hope they offer DLC variations of all of the SPY27 knives once they ramp up production. It would look great with those blue scales!

Reveal #6 is nice and all, but I'm still waiting for the Spy27 Native 5 to hit dealer shelves

It looks like you can add to your cart on the Spyderco Factory Outlet website. I wonder how long before it shows up at the different dealers? Days? Weeks?
