This is a bummer...

I just blew my hobby fund on a new gun and some pretties to go with it. I hope they stick around for a little while, I need atleast one.

Can you buy a handle for these? I remember seeing some Spyderco employees using them with the full G10 handle somewhere.

Does anyone know if there are plans to make in any other sizes or will there only be the 11oz size?

I ordered a pair but I would love a nice pint glass. I’m drinking IPA’s more than liquor these days. Still excited to check them out but I would love to see them expand this line.

Nope! The description says "Additional discounts not applicable for this item". :(

Picked up one for myself and two more for bday gifts for my brothers. Between this, the Sage 5 LW, and the Watu, my top (only? ehhh, who am I kidding) three desired Spyderco items for 2020 have been satisfied.

Personally, even a $35 street price is a bit much. I got a set of four Second Amendment .308 Bullet Whiskey Glasses last month for $64.77 shipped!

Well if the glass is $25 with a bullet, you have to be happy with a blade and glass for $50.

The blade of a Spyderco has to be worth a lot more than $25 ;)
Not forgetting all the etching

No issue with the price

The price on the Spyderco glass is $50 (no discounts) plus add shipping which is another $13 for a total of $63 for one. The bullet glass (with etching and solid copper bullet) is $16 not $25 and that’s shipped. That’s because you get a discount when you buy 4 of them ($17.99 each and then another 10% off) and shipping is included for orders of $50+. Let’s say 4 of each to qualify for free shipping. That’s $200 versus $65! The whiskey glasses also allow customized etchings for a fee and minimal delay.

I see the difference in price but the $200 versus $65 is not accounting for the cost of the blade.

What’s a bullet in the US $1-2 or less

Without discounts for quantity 1 glass v 1 glass both with a bullet and etching would probably be the same. ( but why would Spyderco have a bullet )

I think the Spyderco glass is good value for $25 at least for the blade and say $5 for etching.

What would be nice is to buy the Spyderco glass from a dealer for $35 and just add it to your next Spyderco order from the dealer with free shipping of orders at $99+. That’s a no brainer to get one for its novelty!

Keep in mind that both the glass blower and Spyderco need to make a profit on these vs. just the glass blower when you buy direct from the maker. If Spyderco distributed these through dealers that would add a 3rd group that needs to make a profit raising the price even higher. And as previously mentioned the LC200N blade cost is a significant part of the cost. A reloadable .308 bullet only costs about 25 cents.

Ordered. To me the price makes sense, as it has a literal knife blade in it. It just seems like such an iconic piece of spyderco memorabilia to me, couldn't pass it up.

Got 2. Gonna have a few drinks in them and then probably end up ordering 2 more. I think they are great and I also am extremely happy to see more memorabilia/ accessories coming through.

Thanks, Rich
