Anyone Got a Used Gunting?

#1

Post by Vess »

I am looking for a PE Gunting, even damaged one. Chipped tip? Broken clip? No problem... <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

The reason is this: I make leather sheaths for the Gunting on nearly daily basis now, and some clients request that the sheath be made with clip on, and others with clip off. I can't keep screwing and unscrewing the clip endlessly on my only Gunting, so I need a spare Gunting with more-or-less intact handle, blade spine and horn to use for sheath making. Plain edge is just a preference. My own Gunting is combo-edge, and I wanted to get a feel of a PE one...

If anyone has one, let me know.

My email is vesscollectibles@rogers.com

P.S. If posts of this nature are not allowed on this forum, let me know and I'll edit it out ASAP. I searched for the forum rules, but couldn't find any... :D

I just thought of this, maybe Mike a W and R has one that has a defect so it is not safe to use that he will give you.He could epoxy the blade shut to make sure it isn't used.

I learn something new everyday, even though I don't want to. Jeff

damaged Guntings? Mmmm... These <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s are built like a tank! It takes plenty of effort to thrash them till they are busted! *heh-heh!* <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Yeah, it's starting to look like Guntings are unbreakable... <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I was kinda hoping someone dropped theirs on cement floor and broke the tip or something, but guess even that doesn't happen all that often. Ah, well... :D
