Post by AlexRus »

Hi guys!
What's your anticipation for the Shot Show 2020? Sprintruns? New models? Maybe Spyderco Military 2 prototype?)

I predict Eric will show off prototypes for all of the knives I've requested so far:
  • Military 2, featuring a compression lock
  • A lil' Straight Spine Stretch, featuring a 3" blade
  • A Dragonfly XL, featuring a 3" blade
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

PM2 lightweight seems like a no brainier. If this isn't in the pipeline, someone at Spyderco isn't doing their job.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

PM2 Tanto

Was it not said the Military 2 will use a stop lock? Either way a Military2 is way past due and would make sense seeing how few Militaries if any were released in the past year. Can’t recall any.

Like the idea of a shorter stretch but request fully serrated edge.

Shorter Hundred Pacer, Sal mentioned it was in the works. Love that knife.

Sal was talking about a comp lock Millie 2 prototype as far as I recall... hope it will not actually replace the current Millie, for I personally prefer a well made linerlock over a comp lock.

The compression lock and the stop lock are both wish thread rhetoric they're just rumors.
The only changes to the military that I can remember are some ergonomics and multi-position clip.

A compression lock would make it a Paramilitary XL

No offense, but I am afraid you´re wrong on this... unless Sals own post is "wish thread rhetoric" (see link below)

Nope, as Warstein said earlier, Military with comp lock is going to happen, maybe even sooner as we expect.

Military with CL is planned. Sal said that a few times.
I would love a smaller military with liner lock.

I am aligned with ABX2011
PM2 Tanto
Lil' Chokwe
Maybe more LC200N models

Main Spydie I’ve been looking forward to is the SIREN. Haven’t been truly excited for a Spyderco like this in quite some time.
