Wait, lets ask some important questions here. Can dealers order exclusives of discontinued models? Was the exclusive commissioned before the regular police 4 was discoed? Or is it built off the lightweight platform?

The KnifeCenter Exclusive Police4 HAP40/SUS410 Pakkawood C07WDP4:

"The Pakkawood material that makes up the scales combines the durability and stability of a phenolic laminate with the rich beauty of natural wood. Unlike natural wood, you won't have to worry so much about Pakkawood shrinking, expanding, or cracking. It is also much better suited to moisture than standard woods. Full stainless steel liners, backspacer, and lock back complete this durable little knife."

Agreed. I definitely did not see that one coming, and I love the pakkawood handles. I'll probably pick one up soon, but not yet because while I also like Hap40 I already have a k390 Police 4...and Hap40 is not better than k390.

I've never really thought of the P4 as a 'little knife.'

Yes they can with some limitations I'm sure. The semi-recent BHQ Lum Tanto Jade Hap40 comes to mind.

Thank you, RamZar.

I have had some concern about the Rex 45 Manix 2 LW, since February. When my Manix 2 Rex 45 G10 model showed up. The paperwork inside the box. The same printing that comes with all of these Rex 45 Sprint Run Knives. Mentions in it, all of the upcoming Rex 45 Sprint Run Knives, except for the Manix 2 LW. 7 out of 8, that we see in Reveal Volume 4.

So on March 5th, 2020. I sent Michael Janich a quick note, asking about this. I never did hear back from him. Adding to my concern. So now here we are. All of these months later, and as you point out. We are "long overdue".

Perhaps for some but the first three are made in the USA with US materials.

Possibly, steelcity16?
But we do know, that it does not have anything to do with the Manix 2 LW being omitted from the paperwork, all year. :D

My hope is. The delay on the Manix 2 LW, is due to it being switched over to screwed construction! :)
If that's the case. I'm happier, to wait it out. :spyder:

I'm assuming many of the parts are sourced from a wide variety of manufacturers. Something as simple as the ball bearing of the Manix LW may be backordered due to short staffing during the pandemic. Or the spring or the pins or the FRN or the steel or the...etc, etc. I'm surprised we are seeing the number of new releases that we are to be honest.

If they switch to screwed then it is WELL worth the wait. I've been hoping for this for a long time. Hoping to see it for sure before St. Nick's drops a Manix LW.
