So when is the purple DLT MANIX going to be announced? I would like a pm2 also, but a purple Manix would be right up my alley.

Odd, a Canadian retailer still has a few in stock currently. I actually just ordered one yesterday.

There have already been at least 2 runs of Manix2 in Cruwear, but I think Cruwear is a good steel for it so nothing wrong with producing more of them.
I also think cruwear is a good steel for the PM2.

I also think cruwear is a good steel for the PM2.

Both of those Cruwear Manixes were weird G10 though. First was argyle and the second was smooth. A Purple G10 with DLC would be awesome. The Manix looks great with DLC because everything is blacked out.

If I have to buy new Para 3s off eBay (which I just did for the 1st time) then Spyderco is doing something wrong. I might be considering moving on as Spyderco doesn't seem to inform people like they used to. Their new format is a failure and it seems as long as they make a profit then.....whatever

At the time of your post, there's a huge variety of brand new Para3s available at a long list of authorized retailers, both online and in-store. Just because the specific variant that you wanted may have only been available on eBay doesn't mean that Spyderco failed in anyway.

It simply is not possible for a company to manufacture or stock every blade steel and conceivable color all of the time. Anyone should be able to figure out the reasons why on their own.

The fact that nearly all of their sprint run and exclusive knives sell out as fast as Spyderco can make them, even during a global pandemic, is evidence of their success.

It seems obvious.

Curious on which Para3 you purchased off of eBay for the first time and how much it was above MAP pricing?

The reveal means nothing. I feel like I have to wait now for Para3 news from the Web not Spyderco. I say BS on this.

I'm sure they will stop reveals altogether after everyone complains like they did about the catalog.. I almost always have luck by following the alert thread for the given knife. Everytime one retailer has them, people expect all retailers to have them but they trickle in after a week or two usually. I think they should have all retailers hold them until a release date, most tech releases are done this way and I think it would help especially with rare stuff.

Edit. Could also make it worse because everyone knows when to look

If Spyderco was providing the news, it still would be through the web... the origin shouldn't matter. In the case of a Spyderco sprint run thats not a dealer exclusive, such as the Para3 S45VN, not all dealers receive or are ready to sell their batch at the same time.
