Most Fidget Friendly Knife

#1

Post by Dazen »

I’m curious what knife y’all like to fidget with the most. I’m a comp lock fan mainly for that reason, but my favorite knife to fidget with to date is a liner lock. Mine is the:

Magnitude- it flies open effortlessly in 4 different ways, and I love the balance and weight of the knife while doing so.

Generally, I’m against using the term “fidget factor” when talking about knives but I’d be lying if I said I’ve never caught myself “fidgeting” with a knife before.

Specifically, the Squarehead model. It’s like the size of a worry stone but has all the function of a knife. Simply just rolling the blade open and closing it is enough “fidget” for me. :)

Same here, not big on fidgeting...but the Smock is definitely fun to play with.

I have to admit, I had my Sliverax out of my pocket a few times yesterday, nothing to cut just opening and closing it. :)

i’ll fidget with any knife, but my two most fidget-friendly spydercos are the yojimbo 2 with its heavy blade and comp lock and dragonfly 2 salt for its small size and easy one hand manipulation.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Manix 2 has an unusual clicking noise due to the ball bearing.

Para 3, Para 3 LW, PM2

I hope to add a Smock to the collection soon and can't wait to try it.

Hah, I've never really considered myself a "fidgeter".. and I certainly don't agree with those people who view "fidget-factor" as a primary consideration when choosing a knife.. that said, I sure do seem to get in an inordinate amount of "deployment practice" when I carry my Smock. ;)

Probably one of my Sliverax. The pivot action is unreal and multiple opening methods are fun.

I don't fidget much either, though to break a knife in I will cycle it until it feels smooth to me. One of my favorites is the Meerkat. Just a pinch of the scales, slight movement of the wrist and the blade opens or closes effortlessly.

Two more votes for the Smock and the Sliverax. Both very hard not to fidget with.

I hardly even flick my blade open anymore, just use the dang thing when i need it, must be old age..
The only knives i have opened and closed excesively just ..because are my BM Onslaught (i know, i know, but it's a Bob Lum design! :P )
The Ikuchi and my Mk2 Starmate that has a detent so weak i can wrist flick it open easily, and it's very smooth closing as well.

For sure on these two. Techno just for the sound and feeling of the lockup.
