Seemed to be derailing the bombshell thread, so I thought I'd make a thread for discussion of the evidently in the works new 3in Bradley folder.

What are folks hoping to see? Hollow ground drop point like the 1 and 2? Flat ground Wharnie like the air? I'm assuming M4 but maybe something different. Handle materials, lock type?

Chunky liners like the original GB!

Gotta be CPM-M4 because they all were.
Should be liner or frame lock because they all were. I'd prefer liner to keep cost down.
I prefer a hollow grind. 2 out of 4 were hollow ground.
I'd like to see something in the spirit of the Air in terms of being lightweight. Doesn't have to be a wharny. Wire clip would be nice.
Please no laminate carbon fiber. Burlap micarta?

GB Air, silk micarta, same Ti liners, ffg, Vancron Superclean!

The blade is so small, we might be able to afford the ridiculous cost of the steel!

100% agree. With some knives losing theirs, I'm wanting more with liners.

As for the steel, I'm sure it will be M4, because it's a Gale Bradley favorite.

I hope the GB2 gets restocked before these come out. I want another.

Interested in what he's got in mind. GB Air is one of my faves.

I’d hope for a much more pronounced detent than what my GB1 and Air each offers. I’ve had several pocket-openings, mostly with the Air, which can’t be tucked into a pocket-seam like the GB1.

Bradley Air 2: same shape and size with:

CTS-XHP
Back lock
Linerless CF
Wire clip

I doubt any of that will ever happen, but a guy can dream right?!

I'd love to see a GB3 with scales that are the same width as the liners (or nested liners) and K390 steel. Maybe make it with a more lefty friendly lock!

I think Sal said a while back, Gayle was working on a 3" Bradley.

I *love* the shapes of the GB 1, 2, and Air. I don’t care for the appearance of the handles, but I’ve never held or used one. I much prefer fully nested liners, like the PM2 & Para 3. I also would like a more positive stop for the index finger.

So... 3” Air, satin CPM-M4 wharnie; forest green canvas micarta scales; mid lock or comp lock; wire clip.

I want a tab lock like on some of Gayle’s custom gent’s folders.

I wonder if another run of the Air would be possible with the same scales but with a different color? I have an original version and I love the silver and it looks very sharp but it would be cool to be able to get one with a different color of glass scales.

If I only got to choose one (a Bradley 3 or an Air 2) I would choose an Air 2. How I'd like it changed is (in order of importance to me):

- Addition of a clip.
- Increase in size (but not in blade thickness). Between 2.8" and 3" for the blade would be nice.
- Different scale material. Maybe a nice CF. Maybe with a metal bolster.

Other changes could be fun, but those are the main ones on my mind. Bradley 3, Air 2, Advocate 2, whatever... I've been saving my Spydie-bucks up for the next Bradley-designed folder, so I hope they pull out all the stops on it. And I hope it comes SOON! :)
