Para3 lightweight stiff

#1

Post by Blafedude02 »

Hi all,

I received my first spyderco knife today, the para3 lw. Out of the box this knife was extremely tough to open and close. I have read plenty of reviews that this knife should be buttery smooth opening, but struggling to get it open from my experience. Is this normal or should I return the knife?

Thank you all in advance for the help.

The para 3 lw I own was smooth out of the box. To fix the problem I would loosen the pivot and oil it. The pivot size is t8.

Sounds off to me. Mine had amazing action out of the box.

Mine was a little tight when I received it too. After a few days it was still tight so I loosened the pivot screw a hair and it's now smooth with no blade play.

Mine was pretty good out of the box, however, it did not fall shut, so I did the usual loosening of the pivot screws and a dab of oil...perfect now.
