I must get and try a lwt para 3 someday got g10 para 3 and its really good , but alas Lone Ranger you will just have to ride it alone for now as my strict collection system will not permit me to buy black blades just satin , but if the price is right I could bend a few rules . I have a system of collection or if I did not I could get carried away a bit, well a lot😀 Jonny two guns out.

I'm tempted, but I really want one with a serrated edge. Hopefully that's coming soon.

I'd be happy to have a para3 lw in bd1n with or without dlc, but I'm hoping for a color.

Got mine in yesterday and I'm pretty impressed. I connect with this one far better than I did with the G10. The ergos are superb and the edge grind perfect. This is now my third Spydie in BD1N and I'm loving this steel.

Is BD1N on par with VG-10?
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I seem to like the BD1N over the VG-10 by a small margin. The Para3 LW is a sweet little knife and makes a nice EDC.

BD1N seems to hold an edge longer than VG10 (for me), and it doesn't take much work to get that edge. For general edc use it's a winner. I've been using it pretty hard in my Manix 2 LW and it's definitely a step up from the BD1 in my older Manix 2 LW. I think it represents a great value point, especially in a light weight FRN or FRCP config.
