Agree. You just qouted someone in the other thread about this as well. I love the Southfork and hate that I dont have one. A more affordable version in a pretty good steel would be awesome.

Yeah, Jim Ankerson had the same idea.
I made a thread about another Phil's Wilson desing but idea of Southfork in CPM154 could have the same support as well.....

Here is an easy retro sprint. Only the grind needs changing.

I want a Native Chief with original sabre grind and Swedge. Fraden lock had an excellent hollow ground Manix 2.
This is my number 1 wish for the Chief. Those retro style grinds are awesome. If possible, add the square jimping and a barrel clip. I'd buy one for each hand.
Right on!

I was just fondling some older models in my collection. I think it would be really nice to see the Rookie reintroduced. To most it's a tiny Police but it also really gives the Delica a run for its money with its efficient, slim blade, and awesome handle/blade ratio.

I missed out on the Scorpious. Interesting model in SS that would be neat to see in FRN as well.

Hi,

Thanx much for ll of the suggestions. Many of the requests are not realistic. To say "affordable", you are implying China made. To say "affordable" in steels the Chinese cannot use or charge a great deal more to use if they can, makes them no longer "affordable".

In some cases, the tooling is no longer available or has been changed. In some cases the maker cannot make the model as requested. To make a model with a different maker or in Golden that was not originally made in Golden means new tooling. I can discuss each model if you wish. Some are doable, some are not.

Well, I know you have probably 1001 more important things to do than list possible models, but it would be easier if you have a couple of suggestions what models would actually be realistic to (re)make :)

Don’t know if it counts as retro but I would love to see another run of the Rock Lobster. A G-10 linerless Scorpious would be cool too.

Got myself a Rock Lobster and G-10 Lava for Christmas... I forgot how awesome those two designs were.

I'll see what I can do on the models.

The Rock Lobster ended up being very expensive, even back when we made it, so sales were very slow and we ended up closing it out.

Parrata with slightly leaf shape blade / less acute tip, and a finger-saving choil. And whilst I’m at it, M390 steel.

So, something like CPM154 Southfork made in Taichung is not realistic? (or with BD1 in Taiwan plant)....When I mean more affordable I mean it like it lower price compared to regular S90V Southfork.

There are several older models I would like to get a chance at.

I know its not quite in the spirit of this thread but my request was for a model thats already being produced.
Id like to see an aqua salt with no blade coating, and some yellow, orange, or green handles. Something high visibility.

Not that old, but how about a Des Horn sprint? Maybe Maxamet and dark green or dark blue handle?
