K390 Heritage ETA?

#1

Post by Skinner »

Any idea when the newest K390 Sprint series would be available? Trying to plan for holiday requests. Personally the K390 stretch is a grail that I will likely use for hunting/field dressing for the rest of my life. Delica and others will be tempting as well. Thanks in advance

I thought Sal said in another post that Bohler wouldn't have the steel for Spyderco until October.

EDIT: Here's the thread - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=82237&start=60#p1358962

I was a bit off in my original supposition. Bohler won't get around to making more K390 until October. When this means Spyderco will get the steel (and then send it to Japan) is not clear. My guess is springtime.

The spyderco app sent out a "now shipping to dealers" notice. Nothing from the dealers themselves yet.

It's going to be a long and agonizing wait for my K390 Endura if it wont be before october :p

But it will be well worth the wait when they do come

Sal gave that timeframe back in September of last year, so it looks like he meant October of last year that the steel would come in, then this spring we'd see the knives coming out. And as he predicted, the ladybug is shipping to dealers now. So I bet we'll see other k390 models in the next reveal.

That is even better news! (I just noticed I misread the original post too, didn't realize it was from November last year  my bad :D )
I hope we do end up seeing more of the K390's coming out in reveal 5 then

It's going to be a long wait for the Dfly, and to find out if a wharncliffe Delica's in there.

Glad it’s regular production. I am in for a Delica and a Stretch. Maybe even my first Endela? We’ll see?

I can't wait for a Stretch in this. It's one of my favorite Spydies made and it is perfect for a good K390 treatment.

+1. Looking forward to the Delica and Dfly and hoping for Wharnies in both! I'd really love to see the Jester in this series as well!

I remember seeing sal say he would push for the Delica wharncliffe to get the K390 treatment as well
