Sharpening angles
I have mostly endura and delicas spyderco knives. My question is there a standard factory angle that these are sharpened to? I want to dress them up as needed and don't want to do anything crazy . Factory specs are good enough for me. My smith adjustable sharpener lists 20 degrees as the setting . Is this correct?
Re: Sharpening angles
They are usually ground a bit under 20 degrees, so using the 20 degrees setting should let you sharpen them up quickly.
If you want to be sure, color in the edge with a sharpie, then try a few strokes at 20 degrees. Looking at where the sharpie got rubbed off is an easy way to see where you're sharpening.
