Well, some of you lucky dudes had the chance to meet up with Poppa Spyder and the CL Spydercrew! What new purchases did you make at the show? Care to share?

The Spyderco booth was not selling at the show, so no Spydies were available except from some of the dealers, and their selection was very small. I picked up a Masters of Defense Ladyhawk, a Strider AL with G-10 handle scales, and a Tarani folding Karambit made by Blade-tech and sold by Karambit.com. BTW, the karambit prototype in the Spyderco display seemed to be an obvious collaboration with Warren Thomas, IMO. I just cannot remember if anyone from Spyderco confirmed this or not. I purchased training tapes from Emerson and Karambit.com and almost bought a VCR from the nearby mall but decided to wait until I got home to view the tapes.

While I didn't grab any Spydies at the show, I did pick up some nice toys I got my Brend Model 4, and R.W. Clark MAU, a Branton Midtech Brend Model 2, a Simonich Midtech BitterRoot(really cool little knife by the way), an Emerson custom neck knife, and an R.W. Clark Mini MAU neck knife for my mom.

It was a great show, and Sal and crew had some cool toys to play with as always. I'm looking forward to a few of them that are on their way fairly soon
