New Spydiechef lock failure - return to dealer or factory?

#1

Post by hologon »

Hi guys.

Got my long-awaited Spydiechef from my favorite AD and the lock fails with light palm pressure.

Does Spyderco prefer whether it goes back to the AD or to the factory?

Here's a video by the way: https://youtu.be/UlaTGTKOJM8

Thanks!

If your dealer will exchange it, and they have another Spydiechef on hand to exchange it with, that would be the faster route.

Hi Hologon,

Welcome to our forum and sorry for your problem. I think it would be best to send it to the factory, That way it is not likely to be resold. I'll alert Charlynn.

Welp, an answer from Sal!

Good enough for me.

By the way, the design on this is absolutely fantastic. Fits my hand and cuts food for my preschoolers like no other folding knife. It's got a lot of elements that are unusual for Spyderco -- humpless hole, dropped edge, understated profile, no choking-up choil, and yet it still screams "Spyderco".

Love it. Thanks for bringing this to us!
