I'm a new member and most likely a Spyderco product enthusiast : I have a PM 2 standard in the post, and already own a medium bench stone.
Up to now, my pocket knives have all been traditional Opinel, so carbon and stainless steel, mostly 12C27, including my kitchen knives.
The medium stone has been my only sharpening tool for now and I always strop my blades on the back of my belt, but as I get deeper into the EDC rabbit hole and knife maintenance, I need assistance.
The PM 2 ia going to be my first high-end steel knife (certainly not the last), so I'm assuming it'd be a good idea to get a fine stone as well, and, considering its glowing reviews all around, maybe a Double-stuff 2 as well for hikes, outdoors and general trips.
As far as technique goes, I try to maintain a 20° degree angle at all times, give my knives a pass every week and use the 10-5-2-1 plus a few strokes.
All this being said, how can I improve and maintain what I hope is going to be my EDC ?
Thanks in advance, and stay sharp
