Filed Spydies?

Has anyone ever done any decorative filework to a Spyderco? Just curious. I tried a simple pattern on the lockbar of one of my delicas, just a notch on each side, it looks not bad. Wondering if anyone else has tried this?

The hardest part was putting the lockbar back in lol.

One of my Police's has some nice filework to it.
It has filework done on the spine to add some jimping and the round hole was chamfered:

Other than that the lockbar was given some jimping for added grip and a tactile feedback of where it is (since it doesn't have the Boye dent):

And the show side was filed which adds the perfect amount of traction and it simply looks nice:

If you like the filework being more decorative, the One Eyed Jack is right up your alley! ;)
Other than that one, the damascus titanium/jigged bone Endura's and Delica's have some nice filework done on them as well:

**** those are nice!
the checkering alone on the police model is impressive and must have taken forever.

Glad you like them!
And yeah, checkering by hand is a good way to spend quite a lot of time! :p
Any pics of your Delica?

Do any of you have any tips you might like to share? Thought about trying file work on some mules once I became comfortable/brave enough.

The memory also has some filework on it.

I did some filework on some mules. Don’t have the photos here. Will try to post some later.

It’s hardened steel so diamond files will probably be necessary. That’s what I used. It goes slow. You can free hand it or plan ahead, make a template and sharpie the design on. Then just file off the sharpie.
