Yep yep, I'm aware. :) There are a few other sites like that too... Typically as long as you order something that is "in stock" and not "backordered" the wait isn't bad.

I'm really, really tempted to pull the trigger on a Siren and Swayback too.

If you use PayPal, you will be charged right away because that's just how PayPal unfortunately works. If you pay with a debit or credit card, you may get a temporary pre-authorization hold, but they won't take the funds out until the item is in stock.

I put in an order through them for the Smock back in November of 2018 when it was on backorder. It came back in stock on February 27th and they sent me an email asking if I would still like to purchase the Smock. I replied with a simple "yes, please send the Smock" and they charged my card and had the knife shipped out within 48 hours. I had also purchased the Mantra 3 from them a few days after that (while it was in stock) and it shipped promptly.

I've placed backorders a few times with campsaver in the past (they stopped honoring discounts on Spydercos last year but apparently the coupons work on them again!) and sometimes it would take a while to actually be delivered, but it was normally worth it for me to get the 20% off. So if you're not in a rush to get the knife it's one of the few ways to get a decent discount on a brand new Spydie! :)

Thanks for the 20% off heads up! Just ordered some on Campsaver.com, both orders on backorder: 1-6 days and 20-29 days (oh boy)...any news on what's estimated time to ship on those dates for knives? I'm hoping it's not a 3 month wait or something.
