I’d say you’re normally right, but that listing is for 2 returned knives and looks like actual pictures of the knives/boxes you’ll receive.
Mine is just like a new knife, box looked new as well. Mine IS an FT, but it is not the same box as the one shown in the photos - wear on the box is different and the label is in a different position. Still - it's an FT, so 2020 knife.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
Para 3 Dark Blue G10 S110V (First Spyderco), PM2 Black G10 S45VN, Manix 2 LW Translucent Blue BD1N, Sage 5 LW S30V, Shaman G10 S30V, Tenacious C122BK SE LW, Native 5 LW SE S35VN, P4SE K390, Delica 4SE K390, Endela SE K390, Caribbean SE LC200N, Dragonfly 2 S30V (wife's first Spydie), Autonomy 2 Black LC200N DLC SE.
I'm seeing various Autonomy models available on other sites as well. Did something change?
I'm not sure. Maybe it is like looking for a car, and the model that you are looking at starts showing up all around you during the day. Or maybe a few more were manufactured and shipped to the retailers. Who knows

A lot of autonomy models have popped up over the last year or so. Most commonly factory seconds since last year's online seconds mini-sale, but I think I got a regular run Autonomy for a similar price earlier in the year (maybe I paid 200-220 for it), also from AZCK.
I picked up a Lionspy (the full-sized one) for 195 bucks yesterday, I didn't figure I could beat that, at least for one that looks great and comes with pouch and papers. In fact, I have slowly been picking up many of the Spydies I like there, you never know what will pop up.

Regarding the Autonomy models - it was the 'restricted item' clause on the Spyderco site that had me scratching my head.
