I would love it if they made a Chap along the lines of my GEC 77 Barlow.. micarta with a bolster and everything with a nice subtle radius.

Agree with this - the radius makes all the difference in look and feel, and may be difficult to achieve in such a thin scale.
One possible solution would be to use end-cut micarta? Something that brings its own visual interest.

This is a shameless plug, because I really like end-cut micarta :D

Thanks, I really like that knife! I would love to see Spyderco use those materials on a Chaparral and make a “modern” knife to go with my GEC

Ivory or white linen Micarta would look really nice on such a slim and classy design like the Chap.

I also love blue denim Micarta on just about anything.

Contoured denim micarta. Shadetree Composite's denim micarta is v nice (no affiliation)
