Really Spyderco ?! I'm a wreck... the suspense is killing me  I only hope it's as good as the CQI Kapara... that one is a jewel :spyder:

I’m looking forward to it, too.
Can’t really discuss/confirm any specifics, and I have no idea when they will be available; but when Eric described the modifications and results on my last call in to Spyderco, I was more than pleased with the directions they were going.

Hang in there, I think it will be worth the wait,

Does that complexity decrease the simplicity? Not at all.

No bearings... just a tight machined pivot bushing would do the trick !

I'm guessing the sharp parts of the flipper wheel is getting some work done; apparently a few people cut themselves on the jimping.

I’m betting they got rid of Ikuchi finger where the tip cuts the user when closed, sold both of mine because of getting cut fishing in pocket for keys.

Willing to buy the CQI version if this has been overcome. While in wishlist mode this in cruwear =instasale:)

Pivot bushing...good guess. That does seem more likely than bearings although I recall they did make a prototype with bearings.

I'd be all over this as well. Base model is a pass for me. Hoping for future salt. Would be a nice little folding steak knife.
