I will likely buy the CQI version. I had the previous version and sold it because I found it too difficult to open but I am excited to give it another try. It's a very nice blade in a really slim design. It definitely wouldn't stand up to hard use but it makes a great urban carry if you don't have blade length restrictions.

I've had zero issues with my Ikuchi, it's a great carry and a fantastic user. Most likely I'll buy a CQI version as well, along with any other kind of sprint they'll make. Also looking forward to the rest of the series.

How about an RWL34/CPM154 and Ivory White G10 version à la the Lil' Nilakka? I'd be in 100%.

I think that's a perfect combination for the design and it would make a great slicer.

I think for my needs the Ikuchi or the Para 3 LW are the best choices. I very much liked my Ikuchi and will buy a new one and sell my Para 3 LW. I think it is that good.

Is there any new info on when we might see the next run of the Ikuchi? I know there have been some Smocks and McBees coming through recently so I am hoping that the Ikuchi will be next in the pipe.

We agonize here... and no one from Spyderco seems to care enough to throw us a bone

At this point, it's safe to assume more are being made and will be available as soon as possible.

I've had an ikuchi on pre-order from BladeHQ since January. Probably the last time I ever pre-order a knife!
