October and Rex45 aka RexTober!
Since the start of October I've been carrying my Burnt Orange Rex45 para3 every day. The wife started decorating the house for fall, the trees started turning here in the Kentucky mountains and I figured I'd decorate my pocket as well.
I'm eager for some more Rex 45 Sprints and exclusives! Who's with me?

Re: October and Rex45
Foliage season is coming to a close here. I will probably carry something orange closer to Halloween but for now I am carrying a pink Native5 for October along with other knives that are new and that need some love (Advocate, K390 Para2 and Cruwear Shaman). The Rex45 will get some love again soon.

Re: October and Rex45
October and REX45 was my ticket to the 2020 forum calendar, so I have to agree. After about a year of carrying it with stock orange, I swapped in some Micarta last June... I think the natural tendency for Micarta to hold moisture really had an effect on the blade.
I'm down for more REX45, but now that K390 is an option... :)
Here's a pic from the summer wearing the new scales:

Love that burnt orange G10. I like more earth tone colors on knives. The Rex45 is cool, but now tha K390 is coming out more, I am very excited.

Re: October and Rex45
Sadly breast cancer is almost a guarantee on my moms side of the family. Been through it with my mother, grandmother and some aunts had it as well. The pink Native is great and I carry it in the woods a lot too because it is bright colored and hard to lose. Plus, like a pink Bic lighter I don’t have to worry about someone stealing it. :)
Back on topic. Give me a week or so and the orange pics will be flowing.

I was just saying in another thread that I'd love a rex45 manix 2, maybe with the same rosewood as the rumored shaman. But burnt orange scales work, too!
Just last week I pulled my one rex45 knife - a para3 - and my hap40 knives - delica wc, df, pakkawood delica - back into rotation. Seemed like the right time now that the humidity is lower and the fall colors are out. I put a fresh edge on the delica wc and was reminded how nicely it sharpens up.

Didn't know that was a thing, so I looked it up! WOW! Gonna have to invest in that for some mules.

Great images, Larry and abbazaba!!!
My Military, (with original burnt orange covers), has been getting a lot of pocket time this month. It's just a great knife.

Re: October and Rex45
I am all in, for some Rex 45 in a Manix 2! Of course I have burnt orange in my head as well. :D That's perfectly fine.
This recent Micarta, would also be wonderful.
I also feel some K390 should be coming our way, in a Manix 2. Gotta be, right?
I bought all of the earlier Rex 45 knives, just for the steel. After a short time though, I just re-realized, that no matter the steel. I just can't be happy with any of the military line in my EDC rotation. So they got sold off. Just not my thing. So now I'm Spyderco Rex-less again! But in a Shaman, and a Manix 2. That would be a whole different story! :)
