Passed on this waiting for their pm2 LW

Easy Pass.

I ordered one. Tired of waiting for the Sage 5, and the wait on better steel on that one will be a long time I would think.

Very tempting but I passed... I hate red. If it were any other color I probably would have gotten it.

I wonder how "exclusive" this one really was. I guess no one really knows.

This combination of materials and color is exclusive to DLT Trading only.

We don’t know the numbers of this current run, but that has never mattered with exclusives because they can be remade if the vendor wants more.

Since by “exclusive”, they mean limited to one vendor, I would say it’s 100% exclusive. I hope this one stays a while, and punishes those a little bit who rushed in and bought two to flip one (or both), which in the past screwed people who actually wanted the knife. It would be great if we could get away from that a little bit on these releases.

I ordered one since they were still available last night and I don’t own a Para 3. I love my PM2, but it’s a legal no go when I do have to travel into DC, so wanted a 3” blade. Probably would have preferred the Sage 5 LW, but it seems like it will be a long wait until that one comes out in different steels. I’m looking forward to getting this one in hand.

They must have made a lot, I figured the first and only special lightweight p3 would have sold fast, even the g10 one sold in like an hour. Seems strange if you ask me but I guess they just estimated demand better this time.

I ordered one. I'm not that crazy about red scales, but after all the frustration of missing out on the brown Manix in M390 and the Cruwear Shaman, it felt good to successfully order a sprint.

I'm almost at that point myself. I don't like red but a Para3 LW with M390 would be a great knife.

I'm glad to see it was a larger run and stayed available for quite a while, though I passed on it. Flippers will have a tougher time with this one!

Sold out now. As a someone who does forecasting and statistical modeling for a living, I appreciate the accuracy of the demand forecast for this knife from DLT. They made just enough to keep it available for 2 days (which is plenty of time for everyone who wanted one to get one), while also being able to sell through the entire run and reinvest that revenue in new inventory. That is absolutely ideal. And they did all of this while allowing 2 per household, which I think it perfectly fine if you make enough to keep them available for 2 days as they did. It would be nice if all exclusives worked out this well for both the dealers and the knife buying enthusiasts!

Yeah I tend to agree. If I'm going to pay that kind of change I at least want a G-10 handle or better.

Even if it were a titanium handle I would go for it. However I like the Para2 and Military much better than the Para3.

I actually prefer the Lightweight to the G-10 in the Para 3. The clip position makes a huge difference to me. I would have been a lot less interested in this knife if it was the G-10 variant.

It's hard to reconcile the price of the Para 3 LW M390/red FRN exclusive at $130 against the price of the Manix 2 M390/brown G10 exclusive at $136. The Manix G10 is such a more substantial knife. You can even get S110V in a Manix 2 LW at this price point, which is a much better value than the Para 3 LW IMO.

The manix is nice and all but it’s the size of a dinner plate in your pocket so it’s not really an apples to apples comparison. As far as lightweight small knives there aren’t that many with good steel and no lock rock.

I agree with some of the above comments - G10 version would have been a pass for me. Was only interested in the LW version.

This is how I rationalized it. $30 for upgraded M390, and then an additional $9 for red handles/exclusivity. **** you could just say $39 for upgraded M390, and I would be fine with that too. Subjective, but to me, this knife represents good value.
