The price does seem a little high compared with the G-10 models but I am going to have a hard time passing this one. The PM3 LW has been one my favorite platforms by Spyderco to date.

With all the (justified) complaining of how fast the underpriced exclusives are selling out, we should be glad that this one costs a little more, which will hopefully make the scalpers more hesitant to buy them all up.

Man, this is rather exciting! Buying the CruCarta Shaman may prevent me from having the funds when it drops, though.

I will pass, much prefer my Delica with M390,,,, thinner blade stock and better slicer.

What a great first exclusive! Owning a Para3 LW was a revelation... It is so well done its a game changer IMO. However the Para3 just isn't my thing. Bring on the PM2 LW PLEASE :)

Yeah I'm gonna have to think on this one. I have the red G10/DLC/4V Para 3 along with a bunch of other red handles models. Also have the Blue M390. I was kind of hoping when the Red Para 3 LW came out it would be a brighter red. It might be the lighting and back ground but the color on this one doesn't thrill me

Definitely getting one. The para 3 LW is so much better than the G10 version imo. After using the LW with contoured scales the regular feels like a block. And the stock wire clip conceals the knife 100%.

I'm definitely into this one.

Love my Lightweight Para 3 and with the highly desired M390, a knock out.
I will not think of getting one because I already have a G10 M390 and the LW with it's BD1N steel isn't a slouch.

I honestly think the price is fair, given the sell out speeds lately.

I'd much rather see a higher price point that leaves the knives in stock longer and discourages flipping. I'm much happier to give the profits to the dealer that commissions the exclusive (and takes the risk, and fronts the capital), than to the flippers with fast internet connections and quick typing fingers.

Just a note on the pricing, we did not inflate or pad the pricing at all, Spyderco sets the MSRP price and we list accordingly.

Jordan, I'd rather see you guys sell at a higher price, so that you take the profits, rather than letting flippers get them. I'm an actual user of the knives, and I'd rather pay $30 more and have them stay in stock long enough for me to actually buy them.

Just my 2 cents. :)

Its a tricky balance, we want to price affordably so that as many folks as possible can get one, and we do not want to price people out of being able to afford them, we have other methods to try and reduce the ways around our purchase limits. Ideally all of these would end up being used or collected, not simply resold.

Thanks Jordan, M390 is worth the premium over BD1N.

I'm waiting for a Cruwear Para 3 LW to try this model again. My BD1N LW opened in my pocket a few times so I got rid of it. Hoping it was a just a lemon and not a design flaw. Or maybe they have CQI'd it some by now to prevent pocket opening.

Price is fine, Jordan, you guys are great. This knife is just not for me, I'm much more excited about the O1 18 Bowie that you put in the mail for me yesterday :)

Let's just wait until the smurf blue version of this one comes out - I'm sure we'll hear more about prices and shipping costs :rolleyes:
