Hi Ramzar,

It is my understanding that the first 50 sheaths are going through QC and if approved we should be able to get about a 100 per week. I will admit that it is frustrating for me because the "Swick" is my baby with 20 years of CQI and the sheath, as mentioned, is a very important part of the package.

Thanks for the update and keeping a close eye on the QC. Since it is your baby and its successful implementation is of great importance to you, I might have to get more than one.

They might be, but they will be a regular item so finding them shouldn't be too hard. With things going as they're going right now, They would be a decent "security" blanket next to your pepper gel.

I'm sure we could scrape up 50 quality testers from here on the forum if you need them for that first batch...

I'm hoping you all get one or more soon, but I'm still undecided on it. I have a Swick 1 and 2 that rarely see the light of day and I skipped the rest. I guess I'll need more convincing to spend more on this experiment.

Definitely want to try one. Will the sheath mount to the square 4-slot mounting tabs on modern PFDs?

Mine's gonna get rode hard & put away wet as in fish slime, blood & guts. Who knows.........it might even displace my serrated LC200N Pac Salt 2 during my jaunts on the beach.

Both plain and serrated will be available at the same time. Sheaths are starting to come in. It might take a bit of time to catch up with demand.

Every single time this thread or the new releases thread gets bumped, I hope to see the Swick is finally out. Gonna feel like a little kid at christmas when I order my first round :grin-smiling-eyes

Hi Ladybug,

One of the really important features of the knife is that when it's in your jacket pocket and your finger is in the hole, and you think you might need it, you can shuck the sheath while in your pocket using the "Thumb Push Off" with one hand. It's possible to make a "Thumb Push Off" on a Taco style Kydex sheath, but it's much less reliable, in my opinion. I imagine one could make a Taco style sheath for it if they really wanted one?
