Native 5 Cruwear smooth G10

#1

Post by SC_PATRIOT »

Got this sweet model yesterday from KC and I absolutely LOVE the smooth g10, (plus Cruwear of course). Now regarding the smooth g10 I would like to smooth out my other g10 Native models as well.
BHQ M4 in natural g10 needs to be smoothed out. Any input on what grit sandpaper or other abrasives I could use to buff down the g10 to something close to the factory smooth version. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Wet sand, do it outside and wear a good ventilation mask. You don't want that in your lungs.

What degree of grit would you recommend? 1200-1500 or more coarse. Never attempted G10 before and I don't want to ruin it.

I thought I posted a reply but I guess not. Hopefully this isnt a repeat. Ive got that cruwear native as well its great. Take your time, you cant unsand. Maybe buy some g10 scale blanks and try to make your own. This however would be a difficult project.
