Cruwear delica cut testing

Postby A.S.O.K.A » Tue Oct 08, 2019 5:55 pm

finished doing a vid on the cruwear delica for those curious about cruwear's performance before giving the upcoming shaman sprint run a go. Keep in mind, results may vary from person to person depending on how they cut, what they cut, how they sharpen and other variables. here the link to the vid https://youtu.be/Te1ZC_KT7QY

Nice video! That was a good amount of cardboard. Much thinner grind on that Delica than a Shaman, would be cool to see a comparison. Also...it freaks me out with you cutting towards yourself!
Currently have 20 :spyder: 's in 14 different steels.

The Shaman is a clunker compared to a Delica blade for slicing.
That is the one factor keeping me from purchase.

Thanks for taking the time to post a video.
Compared to your DF2 V-Toku2 test with 100ft, the Cruwear is an excellent steel.

Nice! I've been carrying my cruwear delica for the past two days...just love it. Helped my kids build like 20 cardboard "houses" for their hotwheels cars last night, and the delica slices through that stuff like warm butter. Aside from some goop on the blade from cutting through packing tape, I don't think the cruwear even noticed the work.

I know cutting toward one self is not an ideal method, but for some reason, it works better for me when doing cut tests. I can cut thinner amounts of cardboard at a good speed and I'm more comfortable using this method. Not saying anyone else should follow this method.

Great, thanks. The Delica is a good slicer, no matter what steel, but something like Cruwear is making a great knife better.
