Mine came in yesterday morning. Used it all day at work, and I gotta say, k390 handles impacts against steel better than every other steel I’ve used. No edge damage whatsoever. Much more stable at the edge than cpm cruwear, zdp189, s110v, or maxamet. Count me in as a k390 fan for life :D

That is so good to know. Too bad I'll likely never take mine to work though. I'm actually transferring from the dredge to the beach though to run heavy equipment (bulldozer, front-end loader). But I don't see the beach being much better than the dredge in terms of rusting knives. I seriously may look into aftermarket DLC coatings.

This is a very well executed batch of PM2s based on my sample of 2, along with reports I have seen on them. Smooth action, centering is good, and the grinds are dead even.
I have used the PMA11 mule for a while now, as well as K2 in10v ,so I was very excited to try out K390 since it typically runs a few hrc points higher than the other 10v class steels. The K390 is incredible. It has taken an incredible edge, and I am test driving how it holds up now.

I sure would like to get another one of these before BBS runs out. Three weeks ago there was nothing on my radar so far as knives go. Then the Advocate gets discontinued and discounted. And then this one shows up on short notice. My wallet needs to cool down.

Like others have said, a ranger green/K390 Para 3 would be a must buy.

I haven’t had a chance to use this K390 hard, but I have used it quite a bit over the last few days. It cuts like a laser. I don’t know if it is just a placebo effect from watching Deadboxhero’s video and reading all of the comments about this steel, but K390 seems almost magical in how it cuts and stays scary sharp. I haven’t even touched it up on the Sharpmaker yet.

I still need to deburr mine before using it. Most of the blade has a very noticeable burr along the apex.

They should release this one or the Para3 in DLC ... it would be an instant buy for me. I'm still confused about how prone to corrosion K390 is and how should I treat the blade. I keep my K390 Urban blade clean and shiny but I have to use my Tuff Glide and my Tuff Cloth once every week. I am tempted to purchase this K390 PM2, remove the blade and sink it in balsamic vinegar for a few hours and than sharpen it and put it back. I did that with an carbone Opinel blade and the result was spectacular.I can only imagine the contrast between the black-chrome blade and the forest green handle :eek:

Well it seems these weren't pushed to the 64-65 hrc as on the Police 4. The test I just saw was 63.1 and 63.2 for the PM2. Still not bad. I believe I am going to jump on the police 4 now to compare on some rope.
