Right now, the Clipitool Standard is in my pocket, so I have three choils on one knife

Honestly, I'll probably start carrying it again soon. I really like this Clipitool, but it definitely lacks the sheer awesomeness of my Endura.

YEAH! I´ll keep looking for it in the "What Spyderco is in my pocket..."-thread (and perhaps try the Endura / Juice S2 combo I already suggested!)

I have to say for the most part no. The only real exception is the Dragonfly but it rarely gets used over my Caribbean or Autonomy.

I found myself in the same boat when I carried a normal sized knife and a smaller knife. I'd always reach for one knife over the other, so I stopped carrying two on a regular basis.

As much as I prefer Spyderco knives without choils, I've been carrying a Chaparral LW since I got it a while back. My usual EDC is a Rhino, but the Chaparral LW has been a good work EDC due to the light weight and deep carry wireclip.

I kinda cheat. I have a sling bag that goes everywhere with me and the Dfly stays in there so it's always with me but not always technically being carried. It has saved my arse a few times when I forgot my main EDC. I may just throw my second Caribbean in there so my backup is basically the same.

For my hands (L to XL) the Chaparral is like the DFly probably is for small hands: It just HAS to have a choil to offer a good four finger grip, cause the overall / general size of the handle would be too short for that anyway, regardless how you´d design it.

So in (only) THAT case (very small knives that have very short handles) I love choils.

Para3 so yes
Salt 1 tomorrow so no

Doesn’t bother me if a knife does or doesn’t.

Favourite knife is the Gayle Bradley 1

No.

Out of over 49 knives my titanium chaparral and natives have choils. They are my “dress nice to go out” knives. Beyond rhat it is wasted space I would rather have blade length. Ie Gayle Bradley 2.
