The Persian is an all-time favorite of mine.

I know Ed has worked on some other knives with the rest of the design team; I'd love it if Spyderco would publicize a little bit more about how the different personalities contribute to the knives we see.

Don't own any of his designs yet, but since I'm a fan of collaborations, and even more so of the ones with outstanding designs, I can well imagine acquiring one some day. Of the ones I've seen so far, the Tuff definitely screams my name most. A beast indeed. :)

My only Schempp design is the VG10 Rock, and I really am in awe of its ergos. Specifically how the handle locks the hand in super snugly, and the negative blade angle which seems to be a Schempp trade mark. It's a super interesting design that I am really pleased to own. I use it as a camp / campfire knife, and it is good in that role. Wish I could use it more often though in that role.

This knife has special sentimental value to me. It's the only Spyderco I have purchased in person (from W&W in Vancouver), and it wasn't a planned purchase. What really makes it special to me, however, was that this was purchased during a great trip with some really special family friends.

Thank you for the kind words, I am humbled. It is an honor to work with Spyderco. They have the best staff and some of the coolest folks in the industry. Spyderco has the best of the market with its ELUers. I'm delighted that you folks appreciate my style and ergonomics. Designing for Spyderco has been a fantastic learning experience for me as they have presented me with challenges that have made me grow as a knife maker.
I'm planning on being in Golden for the seconds sale, I really enjoy being with folks that love knives as much as I do. I will be cooking hotdogs Friday night before the sale, it is a chance for me to give a little back to many that have supported me through the years. I'm planning on going to Blade Show West in Portland, stop by and say hello...Ed

Another Schempp fan here. I have his Chokwe, Navaja, Equilibrium, Large Persian 2 & Hungarian folder. My favorite is the Persian 2.

Ed's top drawer on anything he does. I believe Eric has plans to "Sprint" some of his older designs.

I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything, but pretty please, don't simplify it, regardless of model, like the 17:th Kopa..

I have owned hundreds of Spyderco knives over the years, but the Ed Schempp Persian has by far been my favorite design. I have owned multiple Ed Schempp designs and I loved all of them, but I have sold or trade everything except Persian's and Kris's. I'm still buying them!
Ed Schempp designs have always been and will always be my Favorite designs.

this is incredible news: some of the absolutely amazing older designs, updated with screw construction and modern steel, yet retaining the incredible Schempp ergonomics?

I’m a huge fan of Mr. Schempp’s work. I still have my hat I won on this forum years ago. I plan on getting an emphasis after I heard he helped design it.

My wishlist:

Kris, Supergold(Solid), Brass bolster and pins, smooth white micarta.

Persian same as above.

Bowie with a backlock.

I haven't had a chance to handle the Bowie, but it intrigues me. A Bowie with a backlock is an interesting idea. I think the Crucarta treatment would totally rock, unlikely tho it is.

The ergos on the Efficient are great.
