I wanted the Brouwer, but S30V just doesn't match the design.

My comments on this knife are in the Brouwer 1st impressions thread ... in short, I really like this knife.

Beautiful knife congrats.
Really like the blade shape and the overall look.
Wish they would have :
located the clip more to the butt end
lower price
different blade steel

I saw the word "Striderco" and actually though it was a reference to the legendary sharpener Crichael Misty, lol.

He says striderco at 2:45.

I also picked up a Brouwer recently. I couldn't be any more impressed. Fits my hand perfectly. And the ergos with the stock clip are shockingly good, so good that I am not using the lynch clip I ordered for it. All of the little things that I thought looked odd about the knife made perfect sense the moment I got it in my hand. I think people will regret not getting this knife. It is a real gem in my book, a classic.

So I picked this a few weeks ago. It’s fairly small and light. It makes a good carry with shorts or in an office. There is a lot to like. Lock bar insert is a plus. The clip is ok. Change it if you want deep carry. The blade is ground really thin which is great. The choil is a bit longer than I would like but I’m not sure this design would work with a smaller choil. It’s a good design and is getting a lot of pocket time.
