I just look at the bottom line. Price shipped is commensurate with the price of the Maxamet PM2 from a few months ago. In fact, a dollar or two under.

Why the Maxamet PM2 would be worth a total outlay of $200 but the K390 would not be is not clear to me.

Money is fungible. $200 is $200.

Know what you're prepared to pay...don't quibble about the line items which are just noise in this instance.

I should add that this color G10 is foliage green! It’s fun they’re calling it “ranger” green but it’s identical to the color of the G10 Dragonfly and all other foliage green G10 offerings out of Seki. ;)
Are you able to compare it to the color of G10 on the Elmax PM2 BBS exclusive (C81GFGP2)?
Here are BBS's product shots alongside each other for the Foliage Green Elmax and Ranger Green K390. From these photos they look to be very close if not the same color.

That does look remarkably similar. It also looks like the blade finish is the usual Golden CO level of fineness; my Police4 has a blade finish that I can only describe as a little "rough." Edges are not sharply squared off at a few points on the spine, and the grind of the primary bevel looks uneven, although the surface itself is totally smooth. The edge bevel is fine and even. All this doesn't pose any problem functionally, and it doesn't even bother me aesthetically, I just note these things. But as I say, that K390 PM2 blade looks typically fine and what one expects from the Golden factory.

Hi there, as those other comparison pics show, they are the same color. I don’t have an Elmax PM2 anymore but I remember it being the same color. That’s of course one I wish I hadn’t sold off... until this one came along! I much prefer K390 to Elmax.

Is signature required on the receipt of this package? I think the threshold is usually $200.

Just want to make sure I’m home if I need to sign.

Thanks.

I believe the post office upped the insured value to $500 before signature is required. In any case I know it's above $200.
(The shipping notice I got only showed a minimum $50 of insurance included via Priority Mail.)

Showed up much sharper out of the box than the Police4. Perfect example... Here it is with other green G10 to show how light it is:

This new version looks great. My PM2 204P has that darker green. I'm glad to have a different shade for this one.

AWESOME!!! You got your mail so early you lucky duck! I have been getting super lucky with my mail coming early most of my knife receiving days, but today I haven't even gotten the "Out For Delivery" message. I'm on the west coast though it's still early, 10am
