Wow, I'm in the opposite camp! I recently sold six knives...and then very quickly replaced them.

Where do you sell knives? I’ve been thinking about selling my Euro Edge so I can get the Hundred Pacer.

I usually just use ebay. But lots of people like the blade swaps on blade forum and reddit.

I too have gone through a big purge recently. I made some tough decisions and sold some beloved knifes. Wife said I could buy a Sebenza if I sold some knifes to pay for it. I managed to raise $1000 on the bay this past month. I was all geared up for the big Sebenza purchase a couple weeks ago. Then completely changed my mind at the last minute and bought 3 Spydercos instead. GB2, Advocate, and Province.

I think that's a big part of the fun for me: try new things, keep what I love, sell the ones I don't love or that I'm bored with. Rinse. Repeat.

Sometimes I wish I could do that, but I think I'd get sellers remorse lol

Have to say I don't have the itch anymore. I think the serial acquirer in me is dead or at least in hibernation.
I want a CQI Ikuchi. Nothing else on the radar.
It's weird to not even own a PM2 anymore.

Well it's also the only way I can afford this crazy hobby. There's definitely an inverse correlation btw my disposable income and my drive to sell stuff.

You lucked out, I owned 6 different Sabenzas and sold them all once I used my first PM2.

I will get one eventually I’m sure. It’s just that Spyderco has provided me with such positive experiences in both product AND service, that I really don’t want to put my money anywhere else. I know there are other knife companies with great customer service and amazing products. I just haven’t experienced it first hand like I have with Spyderco.

Oh make no mistake about it Chris Reeve designs some fine knives I have owned the Nyala and the Kitchen knife als, both good quality. The thing is they are too expensive, nice and very well designed but honestly you are used to the way Spyderco's cut and I very seriously doubt you will like their offerings by comparison.

I know I appreciated the build and quality of his knives but once using Spyderco knives their was just no comparison and that is what turned my attention to Spyderco.

Spyderco knives offer Superior Cutting ability with far less effort and far less money as well. Another thing is this when you spend $400.00 and upwards with a folder it tends to be too valuable to use it as a real tool and you will find yourself not using it often.

I think you nailed it there. That's why most of ny fixed blades are Esee knives that cost less that $125. They're my hardest users, and who wants to try batoning through a knotty oak log for fun with a $300 knife? That no questions asked warranty sure lets me have fun with those, too.

I'm looking over my latest credit card statement and see I've spent near $1,771 on knives for the past 30 days; many of them Spydercos. I was due doing something like this for myself as I had no summer vacation and was working sometimes 13 hrs a day for the last 3 months. Now, I'll likely be on the wagon and going 40 days without...
