Well, that explains a lot. Think of all the fluff I could have landed if I’d had a manly knife in my pocket. Here I was thinking it was my rough head.

Thanks Rusty, you’ve made my day.

I'm now curious to find out what length or weight a knife must be to cross the manly man threshold.

I guess I am not as manly as I thought I was because I have 7 Dragonflies and counting.

A lot of women, including my wife, love this knife because it cuts above its size, fits their hands, and fits in those almost non existent pockets women have. Orange or yellow are good choices.

guess i am not manly either, with my lil natives and manbugs. i thought manly was military tough. guess i was wrong, it is carrying a massive blade to compensate for size......

I don't know if it counts but my sister carries an Orange frame handgun. She would probably like one to match her .380.

We are having fun, but you did post a picture of your wife with a muscle car and say you bought her a ladies knife. Hence my comment and a wink emoji

“Bought my wife a knife to match the colour of her car” would have been a better title and would have garnered better comments ;)

Nice car by the way

I reiterate the orange or yellow DF would be a great choice.

Just to follow up on what Doc Dan mentioned....Orange isn't a preferred color for me but there are a couple of places that you can still pick up a purple Dfly. They are around MSRP though. I would buy a pink Dfly if Spyderco made another run of them. I prefer large knives but it's not always appropriate to pull a Military out in public and it's nice to have a non-threatening color and size knife. I have enjoyed my Teal Dfly a lot to my pleasant surprise.

Edit: It's a more fun thread with the gender left out. JMO

I missed what all the fuss was about, but the dragonfly IS a great knife for women as, like Doc Dan said, it fits in the pathetic little pockets on most of our pants. I have several, and carry them any time my pockets limit my choices. Of course it's a great knife for men, too! Personally I don't love the bright shade of orange on the production model, but it seems like your wife does, so well done on the purchase for her!

C’mon y’all, let’s not eat our own.

The DF2 is a fantastic little knife. A lot of blade in a small package with a grip that serves my L hands or my wife’s small hands. My 7yo girls can open and use the knife, they just lack the hand strength to safely close them. Of the DF2s I have, the orange is my carry. It is temporarily parked while I drive the Urban for a while. The purple and teal DFs are put up for my daughters (7, 7 and 4). I’d like to add a pink, and especially a pink/purple zome!

Dragonfly is a great knife. Love the orange and yellow (salt) versions. But, being a dude, can I comment on this, lol?
