BBS DLC Paramilitary 2 Exclusive?

To me it was worth it. Ordered Friday and received it today. Installed a MXG black deep carry clip and it is ready to EDC!

Is it just me, or does it look 90% blue, 10% purple? Seems to be a slight hint of purple to it. For reference I'd call the "blurple" s110v models 80% purple, 20% blue. For some reason the previous uncoated m390 exclusives seem like a true blue. But are they the same as this and my eyes are playing tricks on me?

Wow cant believe BBS ordered them without blacking out the compression lock and liners the way it stands out against the blue scales really looks incomplete.

The same was done with the DLC 20CV PM2 I purchased from DLT but the lighter scales do not make it stand out so much.

And military and shaman and lil native comp lock I believe? I think ive seen people say it is because the DLC increases lubricity and they were worried about it causing the lock to disengage by slipping in use?? :confused: Regardless, my OCD doesnt like the way it looks. I prefer knives where EVERYTHING is blacked out like on the DLC Manixes and DLC Natives.

It may just be the way the light was hitting it in the pictures but these are 100% smurf blue. When I opened the box I was shocked how blue it really was. Plus the scales are not translucent like the blurple ones.

If they had coated the liners black, I'd have had no choice but to buy. But I'm saved by my OCD.

Mine came in yesterday but I was too busy oogling to take pictures. Even though they're the same color G10, the blue/black does make the blue look deeper. Can't wait for a Para 3 in this color combo.

That'd be an instant but for me - this is such a nice combo! Kinda wish they'd gone for the g10/dlc combo in their m390 delica, too.

I just got mine. Perfect from every angle. No regrets.

Normally, a new knife goes directly to my pocket. I put this one back in the box. For now. It really is a beauty.

Like the blue S90V Military, I think this one should become a regular stock item for BBS. I think these two knives give them identity.

So far as the locking mechanism not being blacked out, I like it the way it is. Or at the very least, I don’t mind it. I have two other PM2s and they are the same with the DLC blade and black hardware while the compression lock and spacer are stainless. It is something that I never really paid too much attention to, or something that bugged me. I think that it looks clean.

Anyways, great knife.

Just got mine. It's a beautiful knife! Perfectly centered blade, beautiful fit and finish. One problem though... Pivot is too tight! Not a big deal, I need to swap the pocket clip to tip up, then I'll tune the pivot and all will be well! Can't wait to start using it!

Update : swapped the clip to tip up, and loosened up the pivot just a tad (one side was WAY tighter than the other, theyre more even now). Classic PM2 action! Feels a little different though, probably because of the coating on the blade. I've really come to love the PM2!

I ordered on Monday and received a confirmation email from PayPal. I received a shipping notice via email from PayPal on Tuesday, and received package on Thursday(yesterday).

Yeah, everthing you will get from BBS (order confirmation and shipping notices, etc) will be from paypal. That's just how they do it. When I ordered from them another time I got very fast shipping, but I have no idea how it'd work out for international customers.

Im not concerned about the shipping time in transit, it was just interesting to take 5 days to process and ship.

I think I ordered mine Sunday, didn't show it actually moving until Tuesday. Got it Thursday. Ive had multiple packages show as awaiting shipment and then be halfway here all of a sudden. I think usps sometimes has delays in their updates for some reason. It seems there tracking isn't as smooth running as ups or fed ex.
