Endura 4 Scales

#1

Post by Marshtj »

I have a very nice Endura 4 with a Tom Krein regrind. I'm looking for some replacement scale recommendations/sources. Thank you.

I've heard nothing but good things from Death of All Things. I'm not sure if he does scales for an Endura though.

Kourtney McCrary has some interesting scales for her Delica. I don't know where she got them, but hopefully they make Endura scales.

I would be careful about sending your knife off for scales. I never got that PM2 back.

I have a Delica with scales from coolhandgear.com. They are g-10 and do add a bit of weight and thickness but are of good quality. Looks like they have a couple different options for the Endura as well.
VG-10, H-1, 154-CM, LC200N, S30V, S35VN, S110V, M390, 20CV, CTS B70P, RWL34, AEB-L, N690Co, BD-1, XHP, 8cr13mov, CRUWEAR

I have an Endura with Micarta scales from Cuscadi.
Got the knife on the secondary market (it obviously was never actually used - NOW it is though) so I did not choose this particular scales myself, but they are done very well. And don't tear up pockets... ;)

Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I'll triple this.
Also, very nice getting a Krein regrind. I'd love one of his reground GEC's or even one of his own fixed blades. You saying this makes me want to send my Spydiechef or Military off for some trimming.
