Manix 2 XL... S30V+

#1

Post by SC_PATRIOT »

Ok it's been kicked around too many times. Yes I have every version of the Manix XL including s90v. It's been well over a year since I originally posted this request and others have done the same thing. Sal mentioned that there was possible talk of a XL exclusive again.
Can we get a hunk of Rex 45, 52100, M4 (dlc coated), or
even possiblity 20cv on an XL.?
Reason being is that the Manix XL is the only and best large folding knife for outdoor use that compares to a fixed blade. I'm not gonna buy a backup s90v for my son on secondary market. It's like a car payment.
Just do a Rex45 in burnt orange g10 and I'll buy 5 of them!!

I have no idea how we haven't gotten any more sprints of this model than we have, while it has sold well enough to remain in the line-up for a decade or so.

On the XL I'd vote for Sleipner (not likely), Cruwear, or 4v.

Cruwear, 4V, or 3V would be great, but I would assume our best chance is a BHQ Jade DLC M4 version. They know they can sell out a small run in under an hour so why wouldn't they do it? I imagine it is already in the queue, but at the rate exclusives are trickling out it may be years before we see it. They still have the Dodo, then presumably a DLC Shaman, and hopefully a DLC Spyderedged Dodo as well. Maybe after those we will see one. But then again they also haven't done a Lil Native or a Chief, so now those may be first. I think they will do all of these eventually. They are basically printing money with the Jade M4 series.

XL Lightweight in BD1n would be a must buy for me too. But for a print I'd rather see something else (and the g-10 version).

3v would be a good choice too. Something with good toughness--I'd rather see 3v or 4v than M4, for example.

I'd want something with good wear resistance, simply because that increases the lifetime of the blade, because we don't know if we'll ever see another sprint of this model. Rex 45, 4v, k390?

An XL Salt would be cool.

K390 or M390 would be rockin’, in my opinion.

Yes M390 or even 20cv would suffice. Blade shape and lock are perfect for an outdoor knife such as the XL. Im about to give up unless word comes up for another exclusive. We need this!

Any of the steels in my sig would be something I’d buy in a heartbeat. Already got the S90V, but the other nine I’d buy for anything south of $250. I’d shell out $300 for Maxamet or Vanax though.
BRING ON THE MANIX XL SPRINTS AND EXCLUSIVES! And 10v or K390ify the Golden lineup, please.

Top 5 folders I’ve owned: Serrated Caribbean Leaf, Shaman, Manix XL, ZDP-189/CF Caly 3.5, Native LW.
Top 5 steels I’ve owned: LC200N, K390, CPM S90V, M390, CPM REX45.
Top 3 steels I want more of: M390 class, A11 class (including K390), CPM REX45.

WOW! It sure looks like the demand would be there for this to come to fruition..... If there is delicas in Cruwear and possible Swicks in LC200 then a Manix 2 XL in anything (besides s30v) will sell..... Sal!
