My kind of knife. Nothing there that shouldn't be. Designed by someone who knows what doesn't work which is as important to me as what does . Performance and comfort. Great work Jim and Darrin and the Spyderco team!

Time to start saving.

Thanks for sharing the pics, Jim!

This knife looks beautifully done and after looking at it for a while, I'm confident this would satisfy my desire for a Hossom Forager and at a better price no doubt! :spyder:

Jim, is there a story behind the name? And if so, can you share it with us?

Interesting. Last I heard, it was going to have a boltaron sheath.
Both, the boltaron sheaths will be sold separately.
Will the bolatron be ambidextrous?

That is absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see everyone's pics once some patina starts to develop. 4v is the perfect steel for a knife like that. It shows that it's made to be user and not just a safe queen.

Anyone seen the Province show up in the wild yet?
I don't get people who only carry one knife :thinking ;)

They shipped out to the overseas dealers this week, should be shipped to the US dealers next week or so.

Hey Jim,

Thanx for the pics and info. Sorry it took so long to make. Lot more to making that knife than it might appear. Great job to you Darrin. It's a real winner in my value system. And definitely "form follows function".

HI Sal,

The big thing is that's it's done. :)

Took longer than I thought it would for sure, but you guys are the experts at that, I have no idea what it takes to get a production knife out.

Not that I really need this knife....But I like it very much. I wonder what the price will be in Europe. Lamnia has it already on the page for 300 €. That is a bit too much, around 250 and I would seriously start thinking about it .

Great job Ankerson and Sanders

I'll buy mine from Lamnia. I've bought many knives from them in the past and find them a pleasure to deal with. They want $AU392.26 with free shipping which is a better price than anywhere I can find in the US.

For me, it's $260 from US dealers (who don't show it in stock yet) with free shipping. $275 from Lamnia with free shipping.

Pancake, are you getting hit with VAT that I'm not having to pay, or something?

Oh yeah, Lamnia is pretty awesome, and they had very good prices.

Basically yes, to every product from USA there is some tax to pay above the standard price.......ironically, european knives sold in USA are often cheaper then here in Europe, because in USA you dont have to pay all the taxes and stuff.

I had my eyes on this for awhile now, might get it if its available in some EU store, didn't check yet. What's the steel hardness of this beauty? I remember in folders 4v was around 63-65hrc.

HI Jim, nice clean design and shades of the classic Bowie. Good choice on the steel grade and a good balance between ductility and hardness and geometry for edge performance. It was worth waiting for. Congratulations Jim and Spyderco, Phil
