Knives of a Commercial Diver

#1

Post by Sonorum »

First off I'd like to say that these are not my pictures, I found them on imgur. But I though it was fun to see Spyderco knives getting used! This is the link to the imgur post: "The (Some)Times of a Commercial Diver" https://imgur.com/gallery/C7FJRNF

Wow, I expected to see a jumpmaster or some kind of fixed blade there.

That's really neat Sonorum! Cool picture.

I expected fixed blades too. Interesting!

Yeah I thought a fixed blade would make more sense too. Nut sure what a diver's overall cutting chores are but if I were to be doing underwater activities I would personally want a fixed blade myself.

This is an excellent post, commercial diving kits and knives intrigue me. I have wondered and looked up some of the knives they prefer over the years. I know some companies make commercial diving knives for both military hard-hat divers and deep sea commercial divers. Alot of times they are fixed blades with titanium or even bronze and stainless steel blades that are broad and somewhat spear point or even double edged.
