Every so often you encounter something new that changes your preconceptions and exceeds your expectations. The Shaman was that knife for me. The first time I picked it up and used it, all I could think was 'Yes'. The 3D contoured handles, the stout full flat grind, the knife just felt 'right' and solid in my hand and I knew I had found my new favorite knife. The S90V Carbon Fiber Shaman Sprint Run is the ultimate expression of my favorite knife and it is a functional work of art. I tried to capture that sentiment with my submission, and show the absolute beauty of this Sprint Run. The background of this picture is a handpainted glass plate on top of an embroidered table cloth.

My entry for the 2020 calendar is my Native 5 LW. It is such a great all around knife, and fits my hand perfectly.

Cosmic design and ergonomics of Spyderco Poliwog G10 reminds me a spaceship so this year's entry is in cosmic vibe. In a backgroung is a giant black hole that absorbs other space objects and plays with light and represents Spyderco round hole... maybe because almost all well known designers and Stars of knifemaking sooner or later will cooperate with Spyderco :)

Thanks it's a hand painted glass plate on top of a nice table cloth. I thought the colors worked well together.

spyderco (22).jpg The "Viper" thrower designed by the renowned Harold Moeller. Spyderco is manufacturing this awesome blade in the nicely balanced 8Cr13MoV and its no wonder why. There is no better thrower design on the market and its easy for any enthusiast to enjoy. Good Luck to all other entries, there is alot of great photos out there. Cheers.

For this year's submission, I decided to flavor my submission with some color. The vertical calendar format allows for a knife like the fantastic Spyderco 6" Utility Kitchen Knife (K04SBL) to show it's length and utility. Although Spyderco may be known best for their EDC knives, the line of kitchen knives they offer is excellent. I use this utility knife almost every day for almost any kitchen cutting task you could imagine. The MBS-26 steel is used to great effect here, providing flex and strength, and no rust to be seen. For this picture, I put a tableau together of the outcome of one of my favorite tasks for this knife, making guacamole. This knife does it all in style, strength and comfort.

I think it might just be the preview image. When I clicked on it, it was sharp.

In my opinion, the One-Eyed Jack is Spyderco's closest production model to a custom made knife! The overall execution and level of detail is unrivaled. In my photo, I tried to capture as many of these incredible details as I could while highlighting some of the defining characteristics of the knife; such as the heart and spade G10 inlays and a peak at the intricate file work on the mirror polished liners and backspacer! As context, rather than choosing one, I chose to highlight both of the cards that give this knife its name, the Jack of Hearts and Jack of Spades! Lastly, since this is for the 2020 Calendar I "gambled" and created a 2020 SpyderCoin, which may or may not exist in the future! (Only exists as a concept right now ;))

Hello everyone,

This is my very first Spyderco knife. I've always wanted one when I was still studying in college and I think I've been eyeing on a stainless Delica 4 back then. Now that I can afford one, I had to research and look for the best Spyderco that suits me and it turns out to be the Para 3 in G10. The other items in the background are actually from my EDC. I like my things to be all black, preferably in matte. :)

Hey from the other side of the world!!

I just want you guys to see another approach of using the "Bug" :spyder:
This Spyderco "Bug" is the smallest knife by Spyderco.
You'll see the most traditional Bedwin Arabic fabric in the back with Mebkharah which is where you put the Bakhoor (Small Pieces of wood with a great smell).
I keep this knife in my car key chain and its with me wherever I go :D

Best of luck to you guys!
