Yes, everybody! Chap LW Salt was my #1 LC200N request in another thread. I think everyone is awaiting this and the Manix LW Salt. I would think it will be soon.

To be honest: Actually not for me personally. XHP is a perfect steel and rustproof enough for my needs

BUT, that being said: The Chap LW is such a superior and also unique design, even in Spydercos lineup (2mm bladestock in ffg and so on...) that I think it should come in a variety of steels generally, so there´d be more choices for different needs and preferences. LC200N could be the first of those... :D

What I´d maybe personally be intersted in, is more colors for the FRN handle. And a yellow or toxic green colored handle would probably be a positive "side effect" of a salty Chap... ;)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Living next to the Gulf of Mexico I'd be all in on a LC200N blade Chap, getting ready to buy a DF2 Salt SE, need something small and light to carry in the board shorts.

A light, thin, super stainless knife would be the perfect bathing suit knife for my morning beach walks.

I'm down for one!

I'd definitely buy it. Probably multiples. I'd definitely prefer LC200N to H-1 for this one.

Yes. I'll add that a Salt knife is different from a knife with LC200N or H1 steel: a Salt knife is completely designed to be used in salt water.

I love my LC200N knives, and would like a Salty Chap. I would be concerned though with the liner construction and internal stop pin as potential corrosion traps.

The Caribbean has liners, just need to use the same SS for the liners.

There are an estimated 12,800 miles of coastline here in the US. I think there are tons of people who want an assortment of fully stain-proof folding knives. Other than Spyderco, I don't know of any company that caters to this huge market.

...and internal stop pin with corresponding slots...

Not saying it can't be done, but these are real vulnerabilities to corrosion.
