Manix 2 - replacing scales...

#1

Post by Sober_Survival »

I got some custom G10 scales for my LW Manix 2 (translucent blue). What is the best way to swap them? It doesn't have the normal torx heads... help!

I think your G10 scales are meant for a regular Manix with liners.

That's probably why I can't figure it out... thanks!

So the translucent scales are not replaceable?

The handle is riveted together. I don't own a lightweight but it would seem that you cannot take it apart without drilling the rivets.

It takes a lot more work to do what you want to do. You'd need to get custom hardware most likely.

You'd need an entire donor G10 model's handle for the liners unless you have the scales that replace the liners too, then you may still need the lock and back spacer assembly.

Yes sir, I'm not even gonna mess with it. I'll just buy one with G 10 already on it.
