[edited title] My new VG-10 spydie, the Battlestation

... has been the Centofante 3 for three years now. A great gentleman's folder (I really liked the fine blade shape) and a great slicer, plus the :spyder: inlay on the scale is a looker. But my personal preferences are different. I like the beefier blades and more solid looking and feeling designs. The C3 never had much pocket time...

Well, I have to sell it now, because I made an impulse buy (again) and purchased one of those spydies that have been discontinued but that I missed even though it was/is totally down my alley, and was affordable during disco'd sales.

VG-10, discontinued, heavy, kind of aggressive - who guesses right? :)

Battlestation

WINNER ;)

I am REALLY excited about this find! Got it from a private owner but described as new, and just $150 - I think that's about as low as they were sold for during disco'd sale. From all the pics and flics I've already seen, this is a match made in heaven...

:D It's surprisingly very available from dealers still. A quick search shows BladeHQ has it in stock for $192

Wow... the Spyderco-world is just so big. I wasn't even aware of that thing!! Though not exactly my kind of folder (except the backlock), that's a really cool knife... looks like the big, fat, long missing daddy of the Rhino...;)

And I think it's one of the beefiest wire clip Spydies probably?

For anyone who might be as clueless as I was: Here should be a vid of the battlestation...https://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco- ... -10--17634
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

Looking at some YT reviews right now. Some people say it's ugly  whereas I find it pretty cool - upswept blades are my thing! I want to have this little beast!! :)

I am with you, it's cool! I would not really carry it as an Edc (short edge, Tanto, thick blade) but still: It's cool

As said, looks a bit like a big, fat Rhino, but also in its overall shape like a Stretch gone wild... ;)

And a wire clip on such a knife: Even cooler.

I almost pulled the trigger on a Battlestation a few months back, but decided against it because I was worried about the exposed liners near the lanyard hole being uncomfortable digging into my palm.. probably a silly concern, but I've been trying to cut back on my knife purchases in general lately and it was enough to keep me from clicking "buy."

I do think it is a really cool-looking knife though.. Michael, please let us know how you like it when it arrives!

..well, that escalated quickly..

Dialex (a forum member here) has designed several great knives for Spyderco. The Adventura being one of my favorite and I always regretted not buying a Junior
