Is this new or did I miss this one? It's on the bay... I'm guessing knifecenter exclusive?

I was thinking new, but I’m no expert. It looks solid! It almost looks like a dressed up(suit/tie) Manix 2.
I enjoy the smooth G10. It’s a nice feel vs the texture on most G10 models, though I enjoy both.

I think you are spot on. Probably a follow up to the Para2 in that configuration. I have the original G10 Manix in Cruwear so I will probably pass.

This will be mine for sure... The CF/Cruwear one KC did a few years back is my most carried :spyder: hands down, and one of the few blades I have a backup of.

It is nice to see some Cruwear finally back in stock, but I am really disappointed with the smooth G10. Why do smooth? A Manix isn't a gentleman's knife. It is a work knife. I want something that won't slip when covered in oil, grease, water, blood, whatever. I know the Manix has a ton of jimping, but I still hate smooth scales enough not to buy it. This is the second Manix exclusive with a steel I REALLY wanted that I had to pass on due to smooth scales, the first being the 4V one from last year. :(

Had this been a Manix LW in Cruwear I would have probably bought four. Back to shilling my Native LW Cruwear thread with more memes I guess...

I hear ya on the scales. I was just lurking eBay..not many options out there besides some overpriced CF peel ply scales. I'm sure custom scales are quite expensive as well. Curious how much this knife will cost. Manix is typically cheaper than PM2... wasn't the PM2 around $155?

Thanks for the heads up! I didn't know they carried so many. I like those olive green honeycomb scales. Bet their pretty grippy as well. Now...waiting game, for the release date. I'll definitely keep these scales in mind.

I kinda agree with the above on the smooth G-10. I think smooth scales have their place, with certain materials, but in my view (admittedly subjective) G-10 is one that just calls out for a grippy surface, especially in this sort of platform. Cool knife nonetheless, and while I have no experience with Cruwear, it seems like the kind of steel I would really appreciate. I'm glad those of you who are excited about this piece now get the chance to grab it!

I really like smooth scales on some knives. They're perfect on the Chap, at least for me, for example.

It's easy to swap scales out though, and I have several sets of manix scales that often get moved around to whichever manix I'm EDCing at the moment, so that as I try out different blade steels I can maintain my preferred grip ergonomics.

So I can comment on the smooth g10 on the manix but on my para 3 cruwear I absolutely hate the smooth g10. I've been looking for a pair of micarta scales that tickle my fancy.

Yeah, I gave it a chance with the Green smooth G10 Native and I immediately sold it.

the crazy thing is that this is the third Cruwear Manix, and there still hasn't been one in plain peel ply G10. the gray one had a weird diamond pattern and the other was carbon fiber.
