I mentioned in the Sierra Trading thread that an order I placed 14 months ago for a Para 3 shipped.

"Optics Planet just sent me a notice that my order Backorder from April 4, 2018 for a Para 3 Maxamet is in stock. I ordered it with a 10% coupon back then for $153.00. New Para 3's maxamet run must be trickling out.

I see they jumped the price from 170.00 to 191.75 per Spyderco's price increase. Still showing OOS on the site so they must be contacting people who had B/O. Props to them for honoring the old price on my 14 month old order."

Nice to see them hitting the shelves. :D

National Knives has the Para 3 Maxamet in stock on their website. What I find disturbing is they also have listed them on ebay for $210.93 rather than $191.95 - effectively advertising for two different prices to get chumps on ebay to pay more.

I hope I'm not the only one bothered by this.

They're getting charged $20 per to use Ebay's beloved platform. Makes sense to me.

Wow what an incredibly uninformed reply. That's great for you if you want to end up having to pay more to get in-demand models. That's the trajectory we're on if we accept this behavior. They are taking advantage of less savvy/informed buyers who will look at the price in comparison to similar items and think it's a good deal.

I will not support a deal that engages in shady business practices like this.

Uninformed are those who shop on eBay for new-stock regular production knives, apparently you're one of them. I'm sure they will miss your business greatly. Luckily for you there are dozens of other dealers out there and National doesn't have a single exclusive.

If anyone is still looking, at the aforementioned NK they are showing that they are still in stock and also Midway USA is showing that they still have 7 in stock. I hope that everyone can grab one who wants one.

Edit: I have bought from National Knives several times and had excellent, professional service each time.

I have purchased from National Knives directly multiple times and found them to be A++ folks, I have no idea about the Ebay claim. If you deal with National Knives directly you will not have to worry about "shady business practices".
