Hey all, I'd like to get a factory black hourglass clip to fit an Ambitious. Where is the best place to find\buy these?

Call the factory store.

I ordered one for a ten year old Delica 4 from the factory store a month or so back. They hade both black and silver. Reasonably priced and delivery only took three to four days.

I'm pretty new to the spyderco scene. I came from the bench made world and was wondering if different style factory clips were available. I switched my mini-grips over to the deep carry clips. I simply emailed BM customer service and they sent them to me. I am more than willing to pay for them, but are there factory deep carry clips for the Para3 and PM2?

If one has extra clips, would one be allowed to give them away to forum members, or wouldn't one?

Yes there are, and they are quite good. Check out Lynch Clips and MXGear.

Edit: oh sorry I misread, there are not factory deep carry clips, but there are aftermarket, see above.

what are these "extra clips" you speak of? aren't you planning on getting more Spydercos, and might they not need a clip some day?? :D

Oh, those clips are from knives for which I've bought aftermarket deep carry clips, so I have extras. And yes you're right, it's possible I might need them one day, but since virtually all Spydercos come with clips, I thinks that's unlikely. On the subject of aftermarket clips, I've found that Lynch clips are very nice, but come at a premium price and are sometimes a little hard to find. MXG clips are a little less expensive and work just as well (with some subtle design differences.)

Usually not hard to find if you know where to look. Next time you're looking for one just send Casey an email. He usually has most styles in stock.

Oh ok, thanks for that
