A quest for Sal ...

I know ( because you said so) you appreciate and use the VG10 ffg wharncliffe serrated Delica, Sal. It's terrific cutting machine indeed but .... what about a Salt ffg wharncliffe serrated Delica in LC200N ? THAT would be as close to perfection as it gets ...

An LC200N Delica would be awesome, wharncliffe or not, serrated or not. A Dragonfly, too (can't have too many) Salt like wharncliffe in LC200N, as well.

Don't know if they'll do Seki-knives in LC200N generally...?
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Hey Doc, Lance aka Surfingringo told me that LC200N is on par with VG10 edge retention wise but I am quite sure it's way tougher. That's the main reason I suggested the spyderedge configuration plus I'm a sucker for spyderedges and the full flat grind should transfom it in a slicey ripper beast. I carry and use my ffg SE wharnie Delica in VG10 quite a lot and man, I tell you, it packs terrific cutting power.

There is already supposedly an LC200N Pacific Salt that has been in the works for a long time. And there was mention of an LC200N Dragonfly at one point as well.

I would personally love to see FFG LC200N SE and PE (and even some CE) as alternative variations to the H1 SE and PE Salt models, rather than replacements.

Just like there are multiple steel choices on many non-salt models, lets have the choice between H1 and LC200N on all of the Salts. Both are great and there are reasons I would choose one over the other for pretty much any task.

LC200N is great when you want a slicier FFG blade with arguably better edge retention than H1.

The current H1 PE blade is better if you want a more robust thicker blade for the added strength and toughness and you prefer the ease of sharpenability of H1.

H1 is also still the undisputed kind of serrations. Although I am very interested in trying some FFG SE LC200N Pacific Salts to compare. A FFG SE LC200N Spyderhawk would be amazing as well to compare to my H1 SE version.

Basically, lets see some Toxic Green FRN FFG LC200N variations on all of the Seki City Salt models without having to discontinue any of the current H1 models.

I actually have a Wharncliffe Salt in my cart now. I am waiting on something else and then I will get it (that something is the Dragonfly Wharncliffe!).

Thread necromancy aside, I feel like a Para3 Lightweight Salt (in LC200N) would scratch a lot of this itch. I very much hope that's in the works.

I totally read that in your voice. In general, more steel options for the para 3 lightweight would be sweet without needing to buy multiple para 3s.

I'll watch the thread to see what is wanted. I personally like the serrated warnie Delica. I could live with Salt 2 or Pacific 2 serrated warnie.

I thought this thread would be about Sal going on some sort of quest, possibly involving throwing a ring into a volcano or looking for some sort of holy grail.
