Spydiechef handle finish

#1

Post by neuronic »

Does anyone know how Spyderco achieves the finish on the Spydiechef handle? Is it just some kind of acid etch over a stonewash? Ferric chloride maybe?

I'm really liking it and would consider trying something similar on other titanium scale knives if I knew how...

Agreed -- Spydie, how do you achieve this really nice finish?

to my knowledge it's a fine bead blast and then a tumbled finish. Blasted titanium is much darker than bare titanium.
