Translucent Venom Green LC200N Manix Salt?

#1

Post by Doc Dan »

Does anyone think this is a good idea? I know I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I heard that Eric said the LC200N Salt series was going to get a green similar to this to differentiate it from the H1 series.

you can choose 4.

i don't know why it has to be "venom" green instead of just green. but i am down for green lc200n knives, df, para 3, lil native, urban.

Without a color sample provided, I googled "venom green". It seems that venom green and zombie green are similar enough (or the same) that I absolutely don't ever want a venom green knife. Other greens would be great, as green is pretty much my favorite color, but not venom/zombie green.

If you have a sample you can show us to differentiate it from zombie green, it'll definitely help. Thanks

I voted yes with a DLC blade.

My understanding/guess is that Eric was talking about the Seki knives with LC200N being green to distinguish them from their H1 counterparts. The upcoming LC200N Pacific Salts and Dragonfly Salts would probably be among the first two models to get this treatment. Just my guess here.

Since we already had an LC200N Native Salt with yellow scales, I am unclear if the future Golden made Salt models would remain yellow or move to this new green color.

I would take the Manix LW Salt in really any configuration. But a translucent neon Green, Yellow, or Orange would be cool. If it could glow in the dark that would be even cooler. And if there was an option for a DLC blade paired with the neon scale (rather than the DLC/black FRN of the Seki Salts) that would be even cooler still.

Whatever scales they go with, my main ask would be for screw construction on this Manix LW Salt.

And I assume the green they are referring to is the same green used on the USN exclusive H1 Salts from a few years back. I believe it was called toxic green.

Yes, perhaps toxic green is the right name. That is the color and Spyderco has already used it, obviously.

I voted yes and yes to DLC and Satin.

I would also like to see this done with a Manik XL I owned a couple of Manix 2 then sold them they were ok but think this knife deserves a longer blade.

Yes! I really like the toxic green/DLC combo. Granted I wouldn't carry it daily, only while fishing or at the beach/lake/pool in my swimming trunks.

After seeing those pics I am wondering which RIT Dye combo it takes to make that green. Would love to transform some yellow and Orange slabs to that color.

i absolutely abhor anything remotely associated with the ridiculous zombie craze. i typically steer clear of anything with this color scheme because i don’t want to be grouped in with the zpoc prepper crowd.

that said, the manix is my favorite knife and lc200n is my favorite steel, so it would be hard to pass up the knife knowing i could dye it or get aftermarket scales.

but seriously... please no zombie garbage.

I dislike the zombie craze as much as anyone, but there's nothing "zombie" about the LC200N "toxic green" color. It's simply a high-visibility color much like the Salt yellow, and I think it'll look great with or without DLC/TiCn.

I voted maybe on the Manix. I'm more interested in the upcoming LC200N Pacific Salt.

I honestly did not think anything about zombie untill you said it. Yes after I read this I can see it but I voted yes and for satin blade, so not zombie. I dislike dlc or any coating really.

I like it, aside from the translucent part. Solid venom green, LC200N, dlc would be amazing.

A bright color on a Salt makes sense and then they could do another color for those who like to tone it down, like they do on the H1 Salt line.

If the Manix was a back lock variety I would buy it. Not sure how the internals on a "salt" variety Manix would hold up around saltwater. Rather see a Police or Millie with LC. Toxic green would be great.

I'm so impressed with LC200N. I'd like to see whole lines get LC200N options, most definitely including the Manix 2 and Manix 2xl. Mmmm... Manix 2 XXL Salt. Sign me up.
